Lives Changed in El Prado
Lives are changing in El Prado, Dominican Republic:
- They receive a Christian education which has long-term benefit both academically and spiritually. Kingdom work!
- The parents take pride in bringing their children to school as young as 2 ½ years old
- Students have gone onto higher education after leaving CEEP
- Some students return to CEEP as teachers
- The local economy is impacted by the students growing their skills
- Girls at the school no longer are getting married at 12 or 13 years old because they have choices with how to live their lives
- The Sports Court provides a place for youth to play basketball and volleyball
- The playground is a safe place where children can play and have fun
- CEEP is an oasis in the desert of El Prado
I have my autistic child at the school. Since he has belonged to the center I have been able to see many advances.
The children have progressed greatly since the center has been in the community.
This school helps all the children. They have all learned so much and especially learning to pray. The children are positively impacted, both academically as well as spiritually.
The center has increased capabilities of the children with disabilities through education to the teacher and the caregivers.
I studied here since I was 3 years old, and the biggest impact has been the teaching methods and the opportunities that have opened up for me. Having an education from CEEP has given me the opportunity to go onto higher education.
The impact of CEEP has been surprising, noticeably the continuous training for my family and me. As CEEP is a family center, it helps us to live with family at the center of our lives.
The children of the community would not have been able to learn what they have without the impact of the school.
